Woo! I am so freakin' excited!!!

Thanks for checking us out - I'm really eager to get feedback (glean, glean...) from other like minded people out there. So speak up! I'm really looking forward to hearing from you.

To start: I am burning to make a difference. What do you burn for? Its the most uncanny feeling. I think it's come from the fact that I've grown up with a hippie Mom (hey Mom!) and a computer science genius Dad (hi Dad!) and their tutelage has resulted in this really interesting concoction of be being a super greenie myself, but with a truly practical and business orientated side as well. I love business. Not quite as much as saving the world (hehe - we all have our aspirations!) but a whole hell of a lot. You can generate such incredible, ethical, and astoundingly inspirational end goals through business.

What do you love and why? Where are you headed? Why are you doing what you are doing - is it for practical reasons or because you are in love with it? What's at the end of your road?

How Do You Want To Make An Impact? Truly - I want to listen to your answer.

I want to listen to you as well - lets make this blog a place for us all to document our own journeys, and lets see if one, two or however many are in your team, can make a difference.

Short Term Goals...

- Organize internally

- Develop marketing materials - website, brochure etc.

- Spots in media

- Google ad placements

- Blog space on skin cancer, etc.

- Arrange press releases (and public service announcements?) locally (Texas)

- How to incorporate (LLC etc.)

- logistics/importing

- casual contacting of current distributor friends

- contact underwriters laboratory and independent testing set up IF economical...? look up cost and see about magazine ratings etc.

- Figure out our cost structure and finances

- Strategic alliances with marketers or distributors or combination of both

- Health organization partnerships (cancer societies, etc.)

- Pitch product either independently or with partners

And so it begins!

I'm Eric, and I'm here with my partner in business, Holly. We're planning on starting up a string of businesses, selling them into retailers, and will attempt to document the entire process on this blog. We'll show you how we've operated, cooperated, and maybe fought over different issues on our path to producthood.

Today, we've set our first real plans, registered for a domain at godaddy.com, and have set up this blog to help track and document our progress for years to come! We're at the Kenny's Coffee in Wells Branch (area of N. Austin, TX), and this is our first official getting-started meeting. Unfortunately, out of habit, we refused reciepts to save paper... NOTE TO SELF: Keep Reciepts for Business Meetings!
